About Winery and Wines

More than half a century of history makes Cantina Sampietrana not only a brand but pure authenticity. “We have always produced wine directly in our cellar, only from grapes from our vineyards, mostly Apulian” trees “over 50 years old, cared for and cultivated with love and dedication”. Cantina Sampietrana implements sustainable practices in the vineyards as company policy, following integrated or biological defense paths as well as the use of alternative energies in the cellar. “If we respect the environment that surrounds us, the Earth helps us to create our future, it provides us with everything it requires, then it is our duty to be able to make our dreams come true.”

Cantina Sampietrana is located in Salento, the “Tacco d’Italia” (Heel of Italy due to its shape), a strip of land rich in centuries-old olive groves and vineyards, bathed by two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian, always caressed by sea breezes that help our grapes ripen under a hot sun. Intense and wild scents of the Mediterranean spot, characteristic of the hinterland, are combined with the flavors of the coastal areas and, thanks to an arid land, they transfer their intensity into wines with a strong character. The area, bordered to the north by the Itria Valley, encloses the province of Lecce, Brindisi and most of Taranto; it is full of cities with great history, culture and artistic beauty as well as landing places and departures, the last piece of the ancient Via Appia and crossed by the Via Francigena. With great cultural and food and wine traditions, full of extraordinary natural beauty, a tourist destination that offers a warm welcome and unforgettable experiences.
