Cantina Tàia
About the Winery
Cantina Tàia covers 15 hectares of vineyards in Montecalvo Versiggia and Santa Maria della Versa, where generations of winemakers have cultivated the land. Founded in 2022, the focus is on vinifying grapes that best express the unique qualities of the territory. Managed by dedicated men and women, the vineyards employ precision viticulture tailored to the vines, seasons, and enological goals, ensuring the most suitable grapes are brought to the cellar. The winemaking process emphasizes the creation of wines with character, elegance, and freshness, staying true to the land’s identity.
Enology at Cantina Tàia respects both the territory and the grape variety, ensuring that each bottle reflects the essence of the Oltrepò region. Winemaking is a balance of innovation and tradition, with a focus on clarity, definition, and a natural expression of the land. Through careful cultivation and dedicated craftsmanship, Cantina Tàia aims to bring out the best in its vineyards, resulting in wines that embody the potential of the region and the passion of those who work the land.
About the Wines
Cantina Tàia Oltrepò Pavese Riesling DOC: Made from 100% Riesling Renano, this elegant white wine comes from 20-year-old vines at 436 meters a.s.l. on calcareous soil. The wine offers a vibrant straw yellow color with greenish hues, featuring notes of peach, white fruit, and balsamic hints. Its full-bodied palate is mineral-rich with fresh acidity, pairing well with vegetarian dishes or fish-based meals.
Oltrepò Pavese Pinot Noir Rosé: This rosé, made from Pinot Noir, presents cherry and citrus aromas, with a crisp and prolonged finish, ideal for appetizers or seafood risotto.
Il Rosso: A blend of Pinot Noir and Barbera, showcasing an intense ruby red color with fruity notes of black currant and raspberry. The tannins from Pinot Noir are balanced by Barbera's freshness, making it a perfect match for dishes like Osso Buco alla Milanese.
Additional highlights include an Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico Pinot Noir DOCG resting on yeasts and a Pinot Noir dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC aging in barriques.

Wonderful experience
We did a tour of the winery with an explanation and then tasted three wines (white, rosé and red) accompanied by a charcuterie board.
Everything was very good and they were super kind.
Recommended experience!

Molto bene
Il loro rosé è particolare , vale la pena assaggiarlo!
Solo un consiglio a livello di marketing: fare una piccola esposizione dei vini con i prezzi, sapere quanto costano invogliano di più il cliente all’acquisto.
