Luca Archetti founded Azienda Agricola Il Dosso in 1997 realizing the dream of his father Augusto, who died in 1990. Luca is permeated by the idea of an indissoluble relationship which must link the land to its fruits, that is Franciacorta to its wines. He does not understand, therefore, the attempts of the local viticulture to emulate the French, as for bubbles, or the Tuscans for reds. His inspiring thought is to refuse "corrections" in the cellar, as opposed to an almost maniacal care of the vineyard: the "terroir" must be freely expressed and must identify the wine, far from being homogeneous to hundreds of other products equal to themselves until boredom, whose main characteristic is to be sellable. Archetti will probably never become rich with this activity, but he certainly has a precise identity in the Franciacorta wine production that much bigger companies may have difficulty in finding. Six hectares of vineyards, for a potential annual production of 30,000 bottles. In the land of bubbles, Archetti without any qualms has chosen to privilege red wines, which make up more than three quarters of the wines produced. On the other hand the available vineyards, both for the exposure and for the mineral composition, are particularly suited for red grapes.

Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €50.00
Cascina Teresina embodies a deep respect for nature and a passionate dedication to winemaking. The winery sources its grapes exclusively from its own vineyards in Valtellina, Teglio, and on the Lake Como in Veleso. In Valtellina, a centenary vineyard thrives, while on Lake Como, a new vineyard has recently become productive, utilizing innovative PIWI varieties that resist fungal diseases, allowing for balanced, organic vineyard management. Both locations practice "heroic" viticulture, with all work done by hand on steep, challenging terraces. Cascina Teresina produces a limited number of bottles each year, focusing on quality over quantity, ensuring the authenticity and excellence of each wine. Winemaking processes are kept to a minimum, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine. This artisanal approach reflects a commitment to sustainable practices and a deep connection to the land.

Our farm, guarded by a centuries-old mulberry tree, spans five hectares on the morainic hills of Lake Garda. We believe in the potential of these silt-clay soils, expressing their purity in our artisanal wines. Our work honors the traditions and efforts of those before us, rooted in sustainable and manual practices. Every step in our small production, limited to just 8,000 bottles, is carried out by hand, reflecting our commitment to respecting the land and its ecosystem.   An ancient mulberry tree is the silent guardian of five hectares of vineyards.  It witnesses our venture on the moraine hills on the lower Lake Garda. We firmly trust in the potential of these silt-clay soils as we express their terroir through the elegance of our wines. Our past has been forged by the strength of the soil and those who took care of it before us. Grandfather’s historic cellar has been the crib to our defined and sustainable dream. We produce artisanal wines, respecting tradition, and protecting the environment and ecosystem. In the vineyard, we prefer integrated agriculture. In the cellar, we protect the integrity of the must and its aromatic components to obtain a genuine wine. For us, craftsmanship is at the basis of everything. Every gesture and process goes through our hands. Our small production demonstrates it ( 8000 bottles in total)

Nobility, tradition, and territory are the key elements of Medolago Albani products. The Medolago Albani Winery is located on the hills of Redona in the Municipality of Trescore Balneario, at the entrance to the Cavallina Valley, along the Bergamo-Lovere state road. The 30 hectares of vineyards have optimal exposure in a basin facing south. The calcareous-clayey soils and the excellent micro-climate have favored the cultivation of vines for centuries. The church and the cellar, the nucleus of an ancient hermitage with agricultural activity, date back to the early sixteenth century. The current manor house is an excellent example of eighteenth-century architecture. The ancient wine-growing vocation of the area is also testified by the grandiose fresco of the "Christ of the vineyards" painted by Lorenzo Lotto in 1524 in the Suardi Chapel of Trescore, a couple of kilometers away from the Medolago Albani winery, which, in turn, it preserves a precious canvas of the Lotto school dated 1536, depicting Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. The constant replanting of the vineyards with fine clones and modern winemaking equipment allows the Medolago Albani winery to renew itself in tradition while continuing to guarantee typical wines with a great personality. Member of the Lombardy Wine Tourism Movement and the Valcalepio Doc Protection Consortium, the Medolago Albani winery is equipped to receive visits from individuals or groups upon reservation. The Conti Medolago Albani family lives in the homonymous palace on the walls of Bergamo Alta. The palace owned by the family and of historical and artistic interest is an imposing example of neoclassical architecture. Built by the architect Simone Cantoni starting from 1770, it was bought in 1841 by Count Giacomo Medolago Albani, the ancestor of the current owners. In short, the palace was transformed, embellished and became one of the most elegant in the city and the seat of the most important historical and cultural events of the time such as the visits of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria with his wife Elisabeth of Bavaria (better known such as Princess Sissi) and of the king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II as evidenced by the commemorative stone slabs at the entrance of the building.

The Tallarini winery embodies a blend of art, love, and cutting-edge technology, all while maintaining a deep respect for tradition and passion for winemaking. Founded by Vincenzo Tallarini in 1983, the company began as "Il Fontanile" in an ancient village with historical buildings and a small vineyard. Initially, beekeeping was the primary activity, with over 600 hives producing honey and its derivatives. However, in 1985, Vincenzo’s passion for wine led him to produce small quantities of wine, earning recognition in wine competitions. Motivated by this success, Vincenzo launched a significant project to build a winery in the Bergamo area, which came to fruition at the turn of the millennium. Over time, the vineyard areas expanded through collaboration with landowners in areas well-suited for high-quality grape production. Today, the winery spans several dozen hectares and is recognized for its dynamic approach, combining traditional viticulture with innovative techniques. Now managed by the next generation, Anna and Angelo, along with their families, Tallarini winery continues to evolve, embracing modern technology while preserving the passion and love for the land that has defined the family’s legacy.

Le Strie winery, established in 2003 by Stefano, Paolo, Luciana, and Marisa, is a small yet deeply committed family-run winery located in the heart of the Valtellina valley. Despite none of us being originally from this region—Paolo and Marisa from Venice, Luciana from Marche, and Stefano from Rome—we all share a profound passion for winemaking and have embraced the rich winemaking traditions of Valtellina. Situated northeast of Milan, in the midst of the Alps and near Lake Como, our vineyards thrive on ancient terraced slopes that have been cultivated for centuries. The soil here is sandy and acidic, filled with stones, which creates the perfect environment for growing Nebbiolo, the primary grape variety of our region. Our journey began in 1993 when Stefano and Paolo, both graduates in agricultural science, met in Sondrio for work. By 1995, we had started cultivating vines, and in 2002, we made the pivotal decision to produce our own wine, focusing on crafting wines that express the unique terroir of Valtellina. We practice sustainable viticulture, employing the Guyot method, avoiding herbicides, and using integrated pest control. Our grapes are hand-harvested with great care, ensuring that only the best fruit reaches our cellar, where fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. Our commitment to minimal intervention results in wines with low sulfur levels, no clarifications, and only slight filtration before bottling, offering a true taste of Valtellina’s heritage.
