Casali Aurelia is an agricultural company located in Friuli, established by the Filippi family, originally from Vicenza, who arrived in the region post-WWI. The family worked on the reclamation lands of lower Friuli and has since become renowned for producing high-quality wines. Casali Aurelia is dedicated to the meticulous transformation of its estate-grown grapes into premium wines that honor the Friulian tradition. Casali Aurelia offers an extensive range of both red and white wines, drawing from its rich winemaking tradition in the DOC Friuli Annia region. Among the reds, standouts include Cabernet Franc, known for its intense ruby color and herbaceous, full-bodied flavor; Cabernet Sauvignon, with notes of raspberry and blueberry; and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, offering wild plum and forest fruit aromas. Other notable reds include Merlot, Franconia, and Picchio, each with its own distinct flavor profiles suited to different palates and pairings.
Red Wines:
Cabernet Franc: An intense ruby red, maturing towards garnet, with herbaceous and generous aromas. Ideal for pairing with hearty meats, game, and aged cheeses. Best served at 16°/18°C.
Cabernet Sauvignon: A deep ruby wine with hints of violet, offering herbaceous aromas and notes of raspberry and blueberry. Excellent with roast meats and hard cheeses. Served at 16°/18°C.
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso: Ruby red with violet reflections, this wine has herbaceous aromas with hints of dried plum and wild blackberry. Well-suited for roasts and stews, served at 16°/18°C.
Merlot: Ruby red, full bouquet of raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry, with a dry, aromatic finish. Pairs well with red meats and local semi-aged cheeses.
Franconia: Deep red with underbrush aromas, pairing beautifully with white and red meats, as well as cured meats.
Picchio: Ruby red with a slightly sweet flavor and raspberry aroma, perfect with light white meat dishes.
White Wines:
Friulano: Pale straw yellow with delicate aromas, featuring a slightly bitter almond finish. Pairs with cured meats, cheeses, and risottos. Best served at 8°/10°C.
Sauvignon: Generous in aromas, with notes of sage, tomato leaf, and elderflower. Ideal for seafood salads and shellfish risottos, served at 8°/10°C.
Chardonnay: Light straw yellow with greenish hues, offering apple and fresh bread aromas. Perfect with seasonal risottos, white meats, and egg dishes, served at 8°/10°C.
Pinot Grigio: Golden yellow with a copper hue, aromatic and full-bodied. Excellent with grilled fish and shellfish, served at 8°/10°C.

Sparkling Wines:
