About Winery and Wines

We have translated the atavistic passion for the land with respect for nature into an agricultural company with a winemaking vocation.

Our wines comes exclusively from the grapes that we grow in our vineyards: in Valtellina in Teglio, where we grow a centenary vineyard, and on Lake Como in Veleso, where we built a plant from scratch that has recently become productive and from which we have carried out the first vinifications, an innovative system having invested in the generation of multiple PIWI varieties obtained from new crosses and resistant to the main fungal diseases of the vine, and thus allowing an even more balanced management in the vineyard, always within the organic management regime .

Both in Valtellina and in the Lariano Triangle overlooking Lake Como (or Lario), viticulture is carried out entirely by hand, as the land is located at mountain levels on impervious terraces, in what is defined as "extreme" or "heroic" viticulture. , given the difficulties and human effort to work the vineyard in such conditions.

We believe that wine must be genuine and that quality and goodness materialize in the vineyard, therefore the operations on the must and on the wine during vinification and refinement in the cellar are limited to the essentials.

We believe that the artisanal dimension which leads us to produce a production limited to a few thousand bottles per year allows us to concentrate on quality and not to bow to the logic of distribution on the market which, and then run after the commercial dynamics of the shelf, almost are always reflected in having to subvert the good practices of environmental respect in the vineyard and quality of the wine in the cellar

From the vineyards in Valtellina and from those overlooking Lake Como in the Lariano Triangle, where in the latter we are the only ones to produce grapes and related wines, all arranged on steep terraces where the work is carried out completely and laboriously by hand, in what is called "heroic mountain viticulture", our wines are the result of the organic management of the vineyards, produced from 100% of our grapes.

Among them is Nebbiolo also known as “Chiavennasca” which has recently been defined as “Nebbiolo delle Alpi” to distinguish it from Piedmontese Nebbiolo.

All wines are vinified in steel and aged in small oak barrels.
