Cascina Teresina - Problem with Pet
When we arrived at Cascina Teresina, the owner greeted us from afar, informing us that dogs were not allowed on the premises.
(We have a small, gentle dog that weighs 5 kg.)
We didn't read about any restrictions on the Wondering website.
We probably should have contacted the establishment directly to find out (usualy we do that),
but the fact that there were outdoor tables and we were located at 1,000 meters above sea level in a natural, mountainous setting left us assuming there wouldn't be any problems.
Since we were coming from far away, and had already used the voucher (total spend of €100), we asked the owner if he could accommodate us and give us
a table off to the side without disturbing anyone (even though the place was completely empty at the time).
There was no convincing him; we had to leave the dog in the car (the parking lot is more than 100 meters away on a steep mountain road),
drink a quick glass of wine within 10 minutes, and then return to the car.
We recommend making these restrictions more explicit and perhaps encouraging the owner to be a little more flexible in situations like this.
Thank you.

A very overpriced lunch, not a wine tasting
You should make clear this isn’t a tasting but rather a hosted lunch. The price point is far too high for what you get, 25 euros per person would probably be fair. Please also update the online form for children, the form asks you to let them know children from 0-4 years which meant we had to pay 25 euros a 3 month old baby who clearly wasn’t going to consume anything.

Cascina Teresina

Great moment at Cascina Teresina
The only think is that the website mentioned both ham/cheese and a first course. We did not get the latter and did not dare to ask.

"You can decide to upgrade your experience by ordering one of the dishes of the day and also choose some more wines to taste from the a la carte menu."
In few words: the upgrade is an option, you have to ask us if you decide for that option, and obviously you have to ask, last but not least to know what are the dishes of the day available.
About Winery and Wines
Cascina Teresina embodies a deep respect for nature and a passionate dedication to winemaking. The winery sources its grapes exclusively from its own vineyards in Valtellina, Teglio, and on the Lake Como in Veleso. In Valtellina, a centenary vineyard thrives, while on Lake Como, a new vineyard has recently become productive, utilizing innovative PIWI varieties that resist fungal diseases, allowing for balanced, organic vineyard management. Both locations practice "heroic" viticulture, with all work done by hand on steep, challenging terraces.
Cascina Teresina produces a limited number of bottles each year, focusing on quality over quantity, ensuring the authenticity and excellence of each wine. Winemaking processes are kept to a minimum, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine. This artisanal approach reflects a commitment to sustainable practices and a deep connection to the land.
Cascina Teresina’s wines are a true reflection of their origins, cultivated on steep terraces in Valtellina and the Lariano Triangle overlooking Lake Como. The Lariano Triangle vineyard is unique, being the only one in the area. The challenging terrain demands "heroic mountain viticulture," where all work is done by hand with great care. These vineyards, managed organically, produce high-quality wines, including the distinctive Nebbiolo, known locally as “Chiavennasca” or “Nebbiolo delle Alpi.”
All wines are vinified in steel and aged in small oak barrels, following a philosophy of minimal intervention to allow the wine to evolve naturally and express the true character of the terroir. This commitment to quality and authenticity results in wines that are deeply connected to their environment, offering a unique tasting experience that reflects the rugged beauty of their origins.
