The Cecilia vineyeards was established in 1990 thanks to the efforts of the Milanese engineer and industrialist Giuseppe Camerini, who having visited the Island for almost fifty years, decided to develop his passion for viticulture and wine on the farmstead “Podere La Casina”. Nearly 20 years later the farm is managed by his nephew Lorenzo and the vineyards now comprises three small farmsteads on land surrounding Procchio and Marina di Campo and covers approximately 10 hectares of vines. The almost exclusive use of stainless steel in the cellars together with a system of fermentation at controlled temperature and new filter systems, ensure that the vineyard is at the forefront in the most recent advances in wine-making. A newly created section for aging in small 225 litre oak barrels (barriques) permits the perfect evolution of aged wines. Among the aims of the company are the welcoming of visitors and the direct sale of wine, as well as the promotion of Elba besides being a beautiful island also an excellent wine producing area. L’Azienda Agricola Cecilia nasce nel 1990 grazie alla passione dell’Ing.Giuseppe Camerini, artista milanese che dopo quasi cinquant’anni di frequentazione dell’Isola decide di sviluppare, partendo dal Podere La Casina,il suo interesse per la viticultura ed il vino. L’azienda è attualmente seguita dai nipoti e si trova estesa su tre piccoli poderi nella zona limitrofa a Marina di Campo e raggiunge le dimensioni totali di circa 10 ettari. Una cantina provvista di sistemi di fermentazione a temperatura controllata e nuovi impianti di filtrazione, fanno dell’azienda una realtà all’avanguardia nelle tecniche di vinificazione più moderne. Un reparto per l’affinamento in botti di rovere a temperatura ed umidità controllata permette la perfetta evoluzione dei vini da invecchiamento. L’accoglienza dei visitatori per la vendita diretta presso la propria sede è punto cardine delle attività aziendali.
