About Winery and Wines

Celler Devinssi is a boutique winery in Gratallops, DOQ Priorat, Catalonia, Spain. Celler Devinssi was founded in 2000 by Josep Roca, a wine distributor, wine maker and wine enthusiast from Barcelona.

The winery's name is easy to decipher. Celler = cellar/winery, Devinssi = De Vins, Sí = about wines, yes (in the Catalan language). It is also a play on the words because it hints at (Leonardo) Da Vinci (when pronounced in Catalan, it sounds the same as Devinssi), meaning that artisan wine-making is akin to art.

Celler Devinssi has been offering wine tastings for over 20 years, mostly hosted at the vineyards, in the lap of nature, overlooking the Priorat vineyard panorama. It has consistently won the Travellers' Choice award by TripAdvisor since 2014 as the number one winery in Gratallops, the Tarragona province (Costada Daurada), and Catalonia. It's one of the most highly-rated Spanish wineries on TripAdvisor.

Jordi Ustrell is Celler Devinssi's wine tasting host and the person managing the bookings.

Celler Devinssi grows the following grape varieties: red Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Grenache, and Pedro Ximenez.

The vineyards are located in Gratallops and are mostly farmed manually.

Wines: Rocapoll (100% Carignan), IL·LIA (Red Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon), red Mas de les Valls (Red Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon) and white Mas de les Valls (White Grenache, Pedro Ximenez).
