About Winery and Wines

Nestled at the foot of the Cengle plateau, just a stone's throw from Aix-en-Provence, Château de la Galinière lies in a breathtaking setting beneath the majestic Montagne Sainte-Victoire. Spanning 120 hectares, the estate is dedicated entirely to organic viticulture.

Its 40 hectares of vineyards, certified 100% organic, thrive on clay-sandy soils rich in bauxite, giving the land its distinctive red hue. The vines, situated at 230 to 257 meters altitude, are sheltered from northern winds by the Corniche du Cengle, while the sun-drenched southern exposure ensures optimal grape ripening.

Carefully selected grape varieties — Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet, Rolle, and Viognier — flourish under the Mediterranean climate, reflecting the estate’s deep commitment to terroir expression and varietal purity.

To preserve the integrity of each parcel, the vineyard is fully trellised to withstand the mistral and maximize sunlight exposure. The grapes, harvested at night in cool temperatures, undergo parcel-by-parcel vinification in stainless steel tanks, enhancing the aromatic richness of the wines. A meticulous cold stabilization process before fermentation further refines their character.

Château de la Galinière produces a selection of eight wines, with a strong focus on rosé wines, the regional specialty. The estate's portfolio also includes a white wine, a red wine, and a sparkling rosé. For those who want to explore the vineyard experience without consuming alcohol, the estate offers a 0% alcohol range. All the wines are crafted following organic farming practices and fall under the prestigious Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellations.

Côtes de Provence Blanc – A golden yellow hue with green reflections, this wine boasts an aromatic nose with notes of candied lemon, pastries, and sweet confections. On the palate, it is rich and persistent, yet remains fresh and elegant.

Côtes de Provence Rosé – With a bright peach-colored robe and silver reflections, this rosé opens with citrus aromas complemented by a hint of spice. The palate is complex and aromatic, with a lingering citrusy freshness.

Côtes de Provence Rouge – A deep red color with purple hues, this wine reveals an expressive bouquet of red fruits. The palate is elegant, with flavors of strawberry and blackberry, delivering a well-balanced and smooth experience.

Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire Rosé – A pale pink robe with brilliant salmon reflections, this rosé offers an intense nose of ripe grapefruit and lime. The palate is delicate yet complex, with a crisp, slightly aniseed finish, creating an elegant and powerful expression of the region.

IGP Méditerranée Brut Méthode Traditionnelle – A bright pale pink sparkling wine, featuring an expressive nose of citrus and white peach. The palate is fresh and fruity, with fine bubbles and a silky balance, making it an ideal apéritif wine.

Viognier – IGP Bouches-du-Rhône – A golden buttercup color with silver highlights, this Viognier presents an intense and complex nose, opening with blackcurrant bud aromas that evolve into floral notes of violet. Its creamy, fruity palate makes it a perfect gastronomic wine.

Each of our wines embodies the terroir and traditions of Provence, offering a true taste of the region’s winemaking excellence.
