About Winery and Wines
A symbol of Bordeaux’s winemaking heritage, Château de Malle is a Grand Cru Classé estate in the heart of Sauternes. Founded in the late 16th century and acquired in 2024 by Luc and Clémence Planty, the château blends centuries-old tradition with a modern vision. Its meticulously preserved architecture and historic gardens, classified as Monuments Historiques, make it a landmark of elegance and refinement.
Château de Malle is renowned for its exceptional Sauternes wines, crafted from noble rot-affected grapes, producing complex, aromatic, and long-aging sweet wines. The vineyard, benefiting from the unique terroir of Sauternes and Graves, allows for creating wines with intense richness, balanced acidity, and remarkable depth.
The estate also produces Graves red and white wines, reflecting Bordeaux’s signature style with structure, freshness, and minerality. Whether through its prestigious Sauternes or elegant dry wines, Château de Malle continues to honor its Grand Cru Classé status with passion and excellence.
