Chateau La Rose Monturon- Winery producing Red Wines

In the city of Bordeaux, in France, Chateau La Rose Monturon has been producing red wines at the foot of the coast of Saint Emilion for a long time. The small family farm of 2.5 ha is located at the foot of the large castles.

Owners of the Winery

The present owner of the winery took over a part of the vineyards as the daughter and granddaughter of winemakers in 2005. She farms her parents’ vineyard with her husband Stéphane. Much more than a job, La Rose Monturon is above all a life project for the couple and is a passion that inspires them despite the vagaries of the weather. The surrounding nature forces them to think and the constant questioning helps them to work to stay in harmony with it and thus respect the environment.

La Rose Monturon 2020 :In the glass, the intense red colour is similar to the Bigarreau cherry, announcing a dense and brilliant wine.
On the first nose, it is the power that appears, to then let the roundness set in. After aeration, notes of blackberries and blackcurrants develop and make a wine perceive on the fruit, with liveliness and opulence.

The attack is still discreet, and the palate quickly confirms the first visual and olfactory impressions: roundness, suppleness and fresh fruit. The tannins, which are already well blended, give way to the black, fresh and explosive fruits.  The finish is long and silky, with powerful and greedy aromas. A warm, tasty Saint-Emilion, supported by a beautiful freshness that keeps its promises. It is to be drunk today but a year of keeping will let it flourish.

AMALGAME AOC SAINT-ÉMILION GRAND CRU

COMPLEXITY, ELEGANCE AND FINESSE...Amalgam 2020: The colour is dense, purple with brilliant reflections. Amalgame promises to be more concentrated than La Rose Monturon in the same vintage. At the opening, the nose is very fine, with delicate notes of fresh fruit. After aeration, it becomes very flattering, fatter, with touches of vanilla, candied red fruits... On the palate, the attack is very lively, fresh and full-bodied. The red fruit is very present, but it is supported by a beautiful creaminess... Maybe a touch of licorice... Subtle. The woodworking is evident in its noblest aspect: bringing complementary flavours without changing the nature of the wine and the terroir. The finish is a little smoky, refined and concludes a very balanced tasting.
