Cantina Cleto Chiarli
About the Winery
The Chiarli family's desire to unify the management of their agricultural estates and create a winery dedicated to the production of high-end wines led to the establishment of Cleto Chiarli Tenute Agricole in 2001 in Castelvetro, in the heart of the Modena countryside. It is the culmination of a winemaking entrepreneurial history that began way back in 1860, when, in the year of Italian Unification, Cleto Chiarli—great-great-grandfather of brothers Anselmo and Mauro, representing the fourth generation—began the first production of Lambrusco in Modena, marking the successful beginning of what has become the family's business for the future.
About the Wines
To make a good wine, it's not enough to have quality grapes. To produce that "special bottle," you need passion, a love for your land, a family identity, and a constant commitment to the pursuit of perfection and respect for wine. These are values that are earned year after year, harvest after harvest, generation after generation. Today, the Chiarli family continues to face the challenge of producing wines that convey these ideals: enjoyable wines, rooted in their land, accessible to all, innovative, uncompromising, and often surprising. Simply put, Chiarli wants to ensure consumers are drinking the finest wine that the largest, oldest, and most renowned family-run winery in Emilia-Romagna can create. And we are proud of this.
