Corte Dei Venti
(Winery in Montalcino)
About Winery and Wines
Corte dei Venti is a family-run winery located in Montalcino, Tuscany, tracing its roots back to 1943 when the Pieri family acquired the historic Piancornello estate. Set in the sun-drenched southeastern area of Montalcino, the estate benefits from constant winds that create an ideal climate for viticulture, protecting the vines and ensuring healthy grapes. This unique microclimate, along with the mineral-rich, ferrous clay soils, contributes to the production of exceptional wines. Visitors to the estate can explore its heritage and enjoy tastings in this charming, wind-swept vineyard.
The Corte dei Venti estate spans 5 hectares of vineyards, meticulously cultivated to produce wines that reflect the terroir of Montalcino. The estate's Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC are renowned for their elegance, thanks to the optimal ripening conditions provided by the winds and hilly soils. The vineyards also yield high-quality IGT and DOC wines, including Poggio dei Lecci and TerreRosse, showcasing Sangiovese and other regional varieties. Every bottle embodies the harmony between nature, tradition, and expert craftsmanship.
