About Winery and Wines

Corte Fabbri Società Agricola Semplice is a family-run winery founded in 2019 in Broni (PV), the International City of Vine and Wine, in the so-called "Sperone di Stradella" area at the gates of Vallescuropasso, which marks the border between the Padana and the Lombard Apennines. Founded by the two brothers Marco and Riccardo Fabbri, this family does not have an agricultural tradition in its previous genealogies, if not some examples of subsistence agriculture; however, he has always had an entrepreneurial vein, based on principles of passion and gratification in the relationship with customers who are satisfied with their work. The company is currently carrying out all the necessary steps to certify its commitment through the certification of the National Quality System for integrated production (SQNPI) and entry into the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers (FIVI). Since its foundation, Corte Fabbri has been a member of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese in order to participate in the initiatives that will shape the future of the Oltrepò area, and to offer those who choose the wines a quality certification and further control of the products finished. Corte Fabbri is a family business that does not originate in Oltrepò: the various members of the family originate throughout northern Italy, including Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy. It was therefore decided that the labels could not bear the names of the vineyards from which they are born, because this choice would have taken away the merit of the work of other winemakers who previously raised these vines; consequently each wine, based on its characteristics, was dedicated the name of a relative, who could recognize himself in his way of being in the aromas and sensations that the wine itself brings to the tasting.

The goal that the family has set itself is the rediscovery and revaluation of the grapes and typical wines of the Oltrepò Pavese, aiming at quality and environmental, economic and social sustainability: the wines of the Corte are therefore born from the grapes grown in the 5 hectares of company vineyard and each phase, from the campaign to the bottling, is carried out in the land and in its own cellar. The company immediately set itself the main objective of using management techniques with a high rate of research and experimentation, working with the typical varieties present such as Croatina, Barbera, Uva Rara, Vespolina and Pinot Noir, to obtain a finished product that has undergone the least possible number of invasive techniques with an impact on the environment. Corte Fabbri ranges in its products from the Italian Metodo Classico, to aged Reds, to Rosés, always trying to experiment, based on the vintages, both modern and traditional techniques, to create unconventional products.
