Io e mio marito abbiamo trovato la cantina un posto accogliente e ben tenuto. Siamo stati guidati egregiamente da Nicola tra le stanze di produzione del vino. La degustazione è stata buonissima , cibo e vino ottimo.

About Winery and Wines

The Di Giovanna estate, managed by brothers Gunther and Klaus Di Giovanna, is a fifth-generation family property nestled in the mountainside of Monte Genuardo, a protected nature reserve in western Sicily. The estate covers nearly 100 hectares, including 65 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards in the small DOC zones of Contessa Entellina and Sambuca di Sicilia. The vineyards, including Miccina, Gerbino, Paradiso, San Giacomo, and Fiuminello, are planted with a mix of indigenous varieties such as Grillo and Nero d’Avola, as well as select international grapes like Chardonnay and Syrah.

Di Giovanna produces a range of wines that reflect the unique terroir of their Sicilian vineyards. The white varieties include Grillo, Catarratto, and Chardonnay, while the reds feature Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Syrah, and Merlot. Each vineyard, whether on the high hillsides of Contessa Entellina or the slopes of Monte Genuardo, contributes to the distinct character and quality of their wines. The family's dedication to organic farming and careful micro-pedoclimatic studies ensures that every bottle embodies the richness of the Terre Sicane region.
