About Winery and Wines
The history of the estate was reborn in 2011.
Before that, the estate had not been taken over after the death of Rémi's grandfather, whom we never knew.
The vines were uprooted, then a terrible fire broke out in 1992 (starting from Île Rousse to the outskirts of Saint Florent).
The toll was severe: the family olive grove burned down. Faced with this, the rest of the family gave up on taking over the farm due to the work required to put everything back in order. This was followed by about twenty years of neglect, during which the maquis reasserted itself.
Then in 2011, Rémi, aged 16, returned to this land. And then the magic happened.
A strong desire to revive this part of the family's history is becoming increasingly heard. It's decided: after high school, we're going to take the plunge and take over the estate!
The estate was then classified as AOC Patrimoniu, although it had a different terroir: granite for the entire Agriate desert. At the same time, we obtained our organic certification.
Today, the estate covers 4 hectares, and three will be replanted in 2026.
We ' use only native grape varieties: Vermentinu, Niellucciu, and Sciaccarellu.
We made our first wines at the Arena estate, then, as soon as we were able to obtain our authorizations and building permits, we began building our own winery.
The vines are managed naturally and with very little treatment (organic).
We produce red and white wines.
For the white, AOC Patrimoniu, it is ' a 100% Vermentino cuvée, very mineral with beautiful metallic highlights.
For the red, we have two different cuvées: A fresh and light red, ideal for an aperitif or during hot weather.
The latter is made from a blend of 60% Niellucciu and 40% Sciaccarellu. It is PGI Ile de Beauté. A 100% Niellucciu red, AOC Patrimoniou, with a structure more representative of the appellation.
