Cassan is the only wine estate in the Dentelles de Montmirail. These rocky reliefs are one of the most beautiful sites in Provence, although there are many of them. Located in the vanguard of the "Giant of Provence", Mont Ventoux, their finely cut silhouettes form a curious and rare ensemble that is visited by many tourists and even attracts experienced mountaineers tempted to climb their peaks.

It is in this exceptional setting that we welcome our visitors to the cellar for tastings and sales of our wines. We can also accommodate you for a weekend or a holiday in our charming, fully-equipped gîtes, for fabulous moments with family, friends or groups of up to 20 people.

This incomparable site is also a prime location for the production of quality wines. The slopes of the Dentelles allow the cultivation of a vineyard perfectly exposed to the burning rays of the Provencal sun, and the special nature of the limestone gives a bouquet that can be found nowhere else.

The soil is clay-limestone, and the vines are planted on slopes that benefit from maximum sunshine. The estate's isolation protects it from disease and pests. We practise integrated viticulture that respects nature: working the soil, essential treatments.

The vines are between 4 and 40 years old and cover a total area of 19 hectares. The grape varieties are 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault. The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed. Vinification is traditional, with manual punching of the cap. Vatting lasts from 10 to 35 days at controlled temperatures. The wine is aged in vats and barrels.

We produce Beaumes-de-Venise, and also offer our Ventoux for tasting at the cellar.
