Domaine la Prade Mari
(Winery in Languedoc-Roussillon)
About Winery and Wines
Domaine la Prade Mari spans 30 hectares of silty-clayey soil, sheltered from winds on the southern slopes near Aigne. The vineyard, benefiting from a favorable microclimate, grows Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Grenache, Viognier, and Roussanne grapes.
Founded in 1964 by Pierre Mari and his son Laurent, who brought their agricultural expertise from Algiers, the estate has been passed down to grandson Eric, who continues the family’s legacy. Domaine la Prade Mari is managed using Organic Agriculture principles and a unique method called Naturo-Culture©. This approach blends Naturopathy, herbal medicine, and bio-electronic soil analysis to restore the soil’s balance naturally, strengthening the vines' resistance to disease and promoting a sustainable, virtuous cycle where plants care for plants.
Domaine la Prade Mari’s organic wines are divided into two whites, a rosé de saignée, and six reds.
The Viognier is an original single-varietal, sweet without being syrupy, reflecting the Minervois terroir while maintaining a subtle freshness. L'Or des Garrigues is a refined white wine with seductive floral aromas, perfectly paired with white fish and seafood.
Rubis des Garrigues is a tasting rosé, offering powerful notes and a pleasantly balanced body.
The red wines are typical of the Minervois region, enhanced by meticulous soil and vine care. Barrel aging and long vatting periods bring out the full maturity of each grape variety. The blends reveal surprising and captivating aromas. From everyday cuvées to grand creations, these wines offer something for every occasion and can be cellared for up to 15 years.
