We had a wonderful experience at the winery and would highly recommend to everybody much like it was recommended to us. The winery tour was very well explained followed by excellent various wine tastings along with various corresponding light foods. Job very well done

About Winery and Wines

The Fattoria Sant'Appiano is located in the locality of the same name in the municipality of Barberino Val d'Elsa. Nestled in a strategic position between the two most beautiful cities of Tuscany, Florence and Siena, reachable in just 20 minutes by car, it is characterized by the imposing manor villa, the historic cellars dug into the tuff and the splendid expanses of vineyards, observing which we understand how time is marked by rhythms different from those of frenetic city life.

For 3 generations it has belonged to the Cappelli family, who carry on the business with dedication, love and respect for the territory. Today the farm's production includes a rich range of fine nectars, labeled Chianti DOCG. The famous and traditional reds are joined by a white, a rosé, a prosecco and a vin santo. The latter, the Divinum Chianti docg 2006, hit the headlines for being chosen by Habanos, the most famous international manufacturer of Cuban cigars, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cohiba cigar, the most expensive, iconic and famous of the world, on the occasion of the XVIII edition of the Habanos Festival, which took place between the end of February and the beginning of March 2016. The estate also produces extra virgin olive oil and excellent grappa. Fattoria Sant'Appiano has maintained unchanged, over the years, the family character that has always distinguished it: the production and sale of the products is in fact followed directly by the owners, who combine tradition and experience with the most modern winemaking techniques.

The wines produced by Fattoria Sant'Appiano include:

Domenico Cappelli Chianti D.O.C.G.
A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Colorino, this Chianti is a brilliant ruby red with a broad, fruity bouquet of strawberry and cherry. It offers freshness, vigor, and a spicy nuance, with light vanilla notes extending the finish. It’s a versatile, daily wine that pairs well with many dishes.

Monteloro Rosso Toscana I.G.T.
Made from Sangiovese and Colorino, this aristocratic red is matured in barriques and refined in the bottle, offering a complex and persistent bouquet. Ideal for rich dishes or as a meditation wine.

S'A' Rosso Toscana I.G.T.
A 100% Syrah with intense red and violet hues, offering aromas of licorice, tobacco, and black pepper. On the palate, it reveals notes of chocolate and ripe fruit, balanced by soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Tanalupa Bianco Toscana I.G.T.
A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Petit Manseng, this wine is straw yellow with floral and ripe fruit aromas. It is savory, mineral, and soft, with a long and rich finish, perfectly balanced with the right alcohol content.
