About Winery and Wines

Jas des Oliviers is a family-run estate, where the spirit of tradition has been passed down for seven generations. A deep love for the land is reflected in the old grape varieties and wines that are uniquely crafted at the estate. Currently undergoing organic conversion, the vineyard offers a variety of cuvées in red, rosé, and white, catering to all palates. In addition to the wines, the estate produces homemade jams and offers terrines, honey, tapenades, and olive oils sourced from local producers, supporting a short supply chain.

The Aubun grape, once a popular variety in Provence, disappeared in 1959 after the collapse of the Malpasset Dam in Fréjus, which swept away the vineyards in the Argens plain. At the time, winemakers were forced to replant traditional varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Cinsault to receive subsidies from INAO. However, at Jas des Oliviers, a row of Aubun vines was saved on a small parcel. In 2018, grafts were made from these plants to revive this ancient grape. The result is a truly unique Aubun cuvée, offering subtle and original aromas that set it apart.
