Kellerei Kaltern - Caldaro

Kellerei Kaltern is a co-operative winery of 400 associates that looks after the almost 300 ha of vineyards. The winery is an ambassador for the wines produced in the Kaltern Lake area, especially the indigenous “Kalterersee”. The wines offer moments of relaxed lightheartedness and trigger the wanderlust to experience this unique region. The winery gets deeply involved in the preservation of the local traditions, the rural culture, and the land of Kaltern as a whole, a land that has always been the heritage of the locals.

The sculpted beauty of the monolithic wine center is your introduction to Kaltern. Situated on the road that leads to Bolzano, the Vienna-based feld72 group’s project combines aesthetics with identity. This ambitious concept engages in a dialogue with the older 1911 building, the winery’s central unit, where the shop opens onto an intimate inner courtyard. The Winecenter is not just a wine shop. It is also an arts and events venue and an outlet for Alto Adige wines and specialty foods. Professional assistants are on hand to help customers discover the tastes on offer while leaving space for individual explorations and moments of conviviality.
