La Pria Società Agricola
About the Winery
La Pria Winery was founded in 2001 as a young yet visionary estate rooted in centuries-old winemaking heritage. Nestled in Alonte, in the southern Berici Hills of Vicenza, the property extends across 15 hectares (37 acres) of organically farmed vineyards, surrounded by rolling landscapes, historic villas, and the quiet rhythm of rural Veneto.
This land has long been linked to the earliest expressions of Prosecco, offering an ideal terroir for Glera Balbi, an ancient and rare native biotype chosen as the heart of La Pria’s production. Here, soil richness and a balanced microclimate allow the grapes to mature slowly and express remarkable freshness, elegance, and depth—qualities that define the estate’s distinctive sparkling wines.
Beyond production, La Pria is a place to be lived. Visitors are welcomed into a setting where history, nature, and craftsmanship meet: vineyard walks, guided tastings, and moments of authentic hospitality reveal the story of Prosecco’s forgotten origins in the Berici Hills. Tradition is carefully preserved while modern viticulture and precise winemaking techniques ensure purity, sustainability, and uncompromising quality in every bottle.
The result is more than a wine—it is an experience of place, time, and Italian authenticity.
About the Wines
At La Pria, every wine is conceived as an authentic expression of the Berici Hills, where organic farming, careful craftsmanship, and a deep respect for time shape the character of each bottle.
The estate’s Prosecco reveals freshness, precision, and vibrant minerality, born from the historic connection between this land and the ancient Glera Balbi grape. Long Charmat aging enhances finesse and complexity, delivering sparkling wines that are refined, gastronomic, and unmistakably linked to their origin.
Alongside the bubbles, La Pria produces still white wines of clarity and tension, where aromatic purity, lively acidity, and subtle oak refinement create balance and elegance suited both to contemporary cuisine and slow, contemplative tasting.
The range is completed by structured red wines, patiently aged in French oak to express depth, harmony, and aging potential. Rich yet measured, they reflect the calcareous-clay soils of the Berici Hills and offer a modern interpretation of Venetian red wine tradition.
Together, these wines form a coherent journey—from sparkle to silence, from freshness to depth—telling a single story of place, sustainability, and Italian authenticity.
