L'Agona Vini

L'Agona was born from a family project that allowed them to unite thanks to a common passion: the world of wine. The name of the company itself conveys this strong bond, as each letter corresponds to the initials of our names: Alice, Giorgia, Olivia, Nicoletta, and Andrea. Bringing L'Agona to life from scratch was a real adventure. They are not winemakers with a long tradition, but a passionate family who, step by step, have made their dream come true.

The estate's logo and labels are much more than just images. They represent Agona's willingness to put their face into what they do. The face shapes in the logo resemble a wine glass with two droplets that create a sense of movement. This symbolizes the estate's dynamism and personality.

L'Agona Cellar is located in the picturesque hills of Terricciola, Pisa, where centuries-old clay and sandy soils, rich with fossils, infuse their wines with complexity and depth. The estate cultivates 2 hectares of Sangiovese and 0.5 hectares of Merlot, following traditional methods like the Tuscan Guyot system. With 9000 vines per hectare, the vineyards are managed with minimal mechanization, emphasizing craftsmanship. Hand-harvested grapes are vinified in concrete to preserve the grape's authenticity, with aging in neutral barriques up to the fourth passage, allowing the wine’s natural character to shine.
