Le Bertille

Le Bertille is a young and dynamic family winery based in Montepulciano. It was established in 2001 and is operated today by sisters Olimpia and Oretta Roberti and covers an area of 22 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards.

The estate includes the  Agriturismo San Gallo, set among the olive groves and vineyards of the Senese hills, immersed in the peace and tranquillity of a 14th-century estate. The elegant apartment with the old-world charm of Tuscan decor, carefully furnished with local materials and equipped with all modern comforts will be your home away from home. 

Le Bertille produces about 60.000 bottles.

The soil composition is mainly tufa-clay with a variety of exposures. The grape varieties cultivated are the traditional of the Montepulciano area: Sangiovese, Clilegiolo, Colorino, and Canaiolo, besides a small part of Merlot. Accurate management of the vineyards, summer pruning, bunch thinning, and selective harvesting allow for limited but high-quality production. Le Bertille pays more and more attention to sustainability and biodiversity, and it is currently converting to organic farming.

Le Bertille produces 5 different labels: the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, "L'Attesa" IGT TOSCANA Rosso, and "Promessa d'Estate" IGT Toscana Rosato.
