About Winery and Wines

We are a family business and independent winegrowers, we have been cultivating our vines for five generations and we manage the entire process, from the vine to the sale of the bottle. Our roots, like those of our vines, are firmly anchored in this ancient land of steep slopes. "Many children today can consider themselves lucky if they have a bit of garden to play in while growing up, we've been even more fortunate because we had entire hillsides to play on. We love our vineyards and our territory more than any other place; every vine, every protruding tree branch, every lookout point evokes wonderful childhood memories

We cultivate 11 hectares, spread over 15 different zones. Although it complicates the management of the land, this aspect is very important for obtaining variety and complexity in the resulting sparkling wines. Most of our vineyards are located in Farra di Soligo, one of the steepest and most complex hilly areas of the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene district. We occupy a historic and environmentally protected area, recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. "Le Volpere" is the largest vineyard and it gives its name to our winery; it refers to the foxes that populated the woods on the valley floor and the more inaccessible hilly areas. We respect our land and adopt agricultural techniques aimed as much as possible at preserving natural plant balance, such as cutting grass by hand instead of chemical weeding, using manure and compost (which we produce ourselves) instead of mineral fertilisers, limiting chemical treatments avoiding the use of more harmful active substances and using only copper and sulphur as the harvest approaches.
