About Winery and Wines

Our farms, Le Volpi and Monte Fasolo, are situated in the heart of the Euganean Hills and are now one of the most interesting novelties in terms of local food and wine, and tourism. They are places where tradition and innovation come together, giving rise to products and hospitality of the highest quality, offering a new experience surrounded by nature and flavours. Monte Fasolo farm is a place steeped in tradition. With its history and privileged panoramic position, it is now one of the most popular destinations in the Euganean Hills. In 2017, it was taken over by the current owner and included in an ambitious project to renovate and enhance the business and the surrounding area with great attention given to sustainable development. All its own vineyards are currently being converted and will be organic certified as of the 2023 grape harvest. The special features of current winemaking activities include a project to enhance the historic Carménère grape variety and the commitment to the Classic Method of production. Le Volpi farm stands in a peaceful location on the hills of Baone, the largest town in the Euganean Hills. In 2010, the business was taken over by the Rossi Luciani family and restored to its former glory. The restoration project involved the wine cellar, the vineyards and olive groves and was extended to include hospitality so as to showcase these lands and allow guests to experience a more natural and slow pace. The wines produced at the farm have been organic certified since 2013 and vegan certified since 2016.

This soil, of volcanic origin, is particularly suited to the growth of lush vegetation that covers slopes with dense woods of chestnut and oak trees. Due to its volcanic origin, the soil is particularly rich in minerals, providing exceptional nourishment for local crops, predominantly vines. Its native and international varieties cover the hillsides and valleys of the Euganean Hills with their different colours and shapes. Their position provides the ideal conditions for the ripening of various grape varieties. The volcanic soil gives our wines their minerality, longevity and distinctly recognisable character. The Mediterranean climate, which in some areas of the territory provides particularly favourable conditions, is also ideal for the development of olive growing, which is now established in several areas of the Euganean Hills. These features of our territory have become a passion for us: the vine and the olive tree, wine and oil, this union made of history and tradition, commits us to constant research in order to rediscover the original taste and experience the inextricable bond with the land we come from. The Euganean Hills are a naturalistic “island” protected by the Regional Park. The land offers precious fruits in all seasons: delicious wild berries, cherries, strawberries, blackberries, jujubes, pomegranates, figs, delicate wild herbs, grapes and the finest honey. Here, we can find the “Strada dei Vini dei Colli Euganei (Wine Route of the Euganean Hills), a gour
