The soil, rich in precious minerals, still bears the traces of a past when mining shaped the lives of local communities, a testament to the abundance and geological diversity of this land. It is in this setting that Chiara and Stefano Casali transformed an old farmhouse into a living work of art, respecting its essence and agricultural tradition. Every choice is guided by their love for this land and their commitment to preserving its purity through organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices.

Across 14 hectares of vineyards—where Sangiovese and Syrah set the rhythm—the breath of the Tyrrhenian Sea gently caresses the rows, while the volcanic soil tells its story. Some of the highest vineyards extend along the slopes of Sassoforte, an ancient extinct volcano that has enriched the land with extraordinary mineral complexity. Here, at higher elevations, the temperature fluctuations enhance the elegance and depth of the wines, giving rise to unique and refined expressions.
Muralia, a name born from the earth
The winery, nestled into the hillside, is protected by a mighty stone wall that blends into the landscape, evoking strength and protection. It is from this very element that the name Muralia was born—a tribute to the "pila muralia" of Roman fortifications and to the solidity of a project deeply rooted in time.

The agriturismo Il Poggiarello welcomes guests into a warm and genuine atmosphere, offering stays in apartments surrounded by nature and guided wine tours, where Stefano enthusiastically shares his passion for wine and the land. Social moments, such as outdoor barbecues in front of the vineyards, celebrate the beauty and tradition of the Maremma, a land that generously reveals itself to those who listen.
