Padelletti Winery
About the Winery
Padelletti is one of Montalcino's most historic wineries, with a legacy that dates back to 1571. The Padelletti family has been producing Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino for over 500 years, embodying a dedication to quality and tradition that has endured for generations. The vineyards are located in the northern part of Montalcino, where the climate is ideal for growing exceptional Sangiovese grapes. The family’s deep connection to the land and passion for winemaking make Padelletti one of the most respected names in the region. The winery is unique in that it offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore a fully operational vineyard within the historical center of Montalcino, with its tasting room located in a structure built in 1571.
About the Wines
At Padelletti, the production of Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino continues to uphold centuries-old traditions. The family cultivates their vines under optimal conditions, ensuring the quality of every harvest. Their Brunello, known for its elegance and complexity, is crafted from Sangiovese Grosso, which is hand-harvested and fermented in a temperature-controlled environment. Aging takes place in large oak barrels to enhance the wine's structure and depth. The result is a wine that beautifully reflects the terroir of Montalcino, combining rich flavors, balanced acidity, and great aging potential. Visitors to the winery can also experience the estate’s Rosso di Montalcino, a fresher, more approachable expression of the region’s famed Sangiovese.

Relaxing and beautiful
A beautiful experience
We visited the Padelletti winery in Montalcino and I must say that the presentation, the information they gave us are useful and interesting both for those who already have a certain wine culture and for the neophyte who wants to approach this world.
Nothing merely commercial but a beautiful journey into the history and origins of this wine and its wonderful territory.
Everything was perfect, maybe a bit of documentation to leave with the participants wouldn't be bad, like a brochure with the wines, the territory, nothing special but just a memento of this visit.
An evocative experience
Montalcino
The lady took a lot of time and was very professional.
Of course, we also bought a few bottles right away because they were so good.
An aperitif platter would have gone well with it.
The place is run down
A major renovation project should be undertaken. The place has a lot of potential.
