About Winery and Wines

Podere Montale is a young winery with a vision rooted in authenticity, community, and a deep connection to the land. Founded in July 2014, Podere Montale saw its true beginning with the first harvest of the 2015 vintage, marking the start of a journey that continues to evolve. Our mission is to establish a vineyard that serves as a proud emblem for the community of Seggiano and the Montecucco denomination. Nestled in a territory rich in character, Podere Montale seeks to enhance both the geographical and social value of this captivating and somewhat mysterious land. Through sustainable growth and mutual improvement, we strive to honor and uplift the region we call home.

Our wines are crafted with respect for biodiversity, reflecting the harmonious relationship between our vineyards and the surrounding landscape. Every bottle of Podere Montale wine originates from our own grapes, grown across 18 hectares of vineyards that are carefully cultivated with Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Situated near the winery, our vines thrive at altitudes ranging from 250 to 450 meters, creating wines that embody the unique character of our land. Through attentive cultivation and respect for natural balance, we aim to produce wines that truly express the spirit and flavors of the Montecucco region.
