This was a great tour. The owner personally took us on a tour of his winery. He showed us every step in the process from the grapes on the vine to the storage of the wine. After the tour, we sat down for our tasting of 6 different wines. All the wines were a generous pour and came with an explanation of the bottling process. It was paired with food that was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Degustazione ricca di storia e contenuti. Mirko, il proprietario, ci ha dato il benvenuto nella sua cantina e tra le sue vigne, passando in rassegna la storia della sua famiglia e l’intera produzione dei suoi vini. La degustazione prevede l’assaggio di 5 vini rossi, un bianco e un rosè ognuno descritto in maniera esaustiva e amorevole da Mirko. Il tutto accompagnato da bruschette, salumi, formaggi locali e dall’olio di loro produzione. Veramente strepitoso e molto abbondante! Grazie a Mirko e Luca che ci hanno accolto calorosamente!

Authentic Chianti winery experience

We had the best time ever in this family owned winery! We have booked the full experience with the visit of the winery and the tasting with food. Luca welcomed us warmly. The visit was very educative, Mirko, the owner, is very nice, knowledgeable and passionate about his job, It was wonderful listening about the history of his family who owned the property for generations. The tasting included 6 different wines produced by the winery, for each wine Mirko gave us a full description. The food was also great with Tuscan cold cuts, cheese, bruschetta, and pasta, plenty enough food for a lunch. I cannot recommend enough this very authentic Chianti winery! Thank you Mirko and Luca for the great experience

Poggi del Chianti - Monnanni specializes in crafting red wines primarily from Sangiovese grapes, which make up 85% of their vineyards. These grapes, along with Tuscan indigenous varieties like Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, and a small amount of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, are hand-harvested and processed using traditional methods. The result is a range of Chianti and Chianti Classico wines that capture the essence of the region. The farm also produces a unique white wine through carbonic maceration, blending Trebbiano Bianco Toscano and Malvasia Bianca Toscana, offering a distinctive taste of Tuscany.
