Poggio Bbaranèllo - Vignaioli Controvento
About the Winery
Poggio Bbaranèllo is a small artisan winery located near Lake Bolsena, in northern Lazio. Our vineyards grow on volcanic soils, shaped by wind, sun and the deep mineral character of this ancient land.
Behind Poggio Bbaranèllo, there are two women, Silvia and Lisa, who chose to dedicate their lives to wine, the countryside and a different idea of agriculture. What started as a passion slowly became a project: to produce wines that truly reflect the territory and the vintage, without shortcuts.
We work with native grapes and minimal intervention both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentations are spontaneous, no industrial yeasts are used, and every decision is guided by respect for the grapes and for time.
Our wines are alive, sometimes surprising, always honest. They are the result of careful work, curiosity and a deep love for this land.
Visitors are welcome to discover the vineyards, taste the wines and experience the quiet rhythm of the countryside around Lake Bolsena.
