Sirromet Wines

Winery in Granite Belt

About the Winery

Sirromet is a family-owned winery located in the scenic Mount Cotton area, just a short drive from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Founded by Queensland entrepreneur Terry Morris, Sirromet was born out of a passion for showcasing the potential of Queensland wines. After a memorable experience with wine from the Granite Belt, Terry set out to prove that Queensland could produce world-class wines, despite skepticism from others. Today, Sirromet stands as a testament to his vision, offering visitors state-of-the-art facilities and unforgettable food and wine experiences. With its stunning surroundings and commitment to quality, Sirromet has become a beloved destination for wine lovers looking to explore the rich diversity of Queensland's winemaking heritage.

About the Wines

Sirromet’s vineyards are situated in the high-altitude Granite Belt region of Queensland, spanning 100 hectares. The unique terroir of the Granite Belt, with elevations ranging from 600 to 1500 meters above sea level, plays a crucial role in producing wines with distinct and rich flavors. Formed by an ancient tectonic uplift, the region’s granite-based soils are enriched by cold winters that cause the granite to break down, infusing the soil with essential minerals. This annual natural process contributes to the exceptional quality of the grapes grown here. Sirromet’s wines, crafted from this remarkable landscape, showcase a diverse range of flavors, reflecting both the cool climate and the unique granite plateau. From elegant whites to bold reds, each bottle of Sirromet wine is a reflection of the Granite Belt's distinctive terroir and Terry Morris' dedication to producing truly outstanding Queensland wine

We went at a Thursday afternoon. It’s not too crowded, but definitely a popular place. Had a casual lunch at Tuscan Terrace. The price is on the higher end, but good quality and quantity! The estate is spacious and well kept with some really good view for pictures. We are not wine snobs, so we actually enjoyed the wines and joined the wine club for a better value of money. Especially like the bubblies! I think it will be good local produced souvenir for some out of town guests we might have. Source: google Leanne Li

My husband and I had our wedding...
My husband and I had our wedding at Sirromet in May earlier this year. We chose the Exquisite package and it was fantastic! Not only was our wedding coordinator Tahlia great to work with, she also made the whole process so much easier. We were super relaxed on the day and she took care of everything, which we greatly appreciated. Also the flowers provided by Julie Vine were beautiful.

Thank you so much xx

Went to Sirromet for our 49th Wedding Anniversary. The main restaurant was beautifully presented. The menu was absolutely to die for. The food was beautifully presented, of a very high quality and very tasty. Our waitress was very professional, friendly and efficient. She made us feel special for our special day. Prices were fair (in fact cheaper than expected). Source: google Arend de Weger
