Nice Wine Tour and Tasting at Tenuta La Favola

12/1/23
Sebastian provided a very nice tour and tasting at the winery. We actually arrived two hours early, but Sebastian accommodated us without a problem . After being shown the vineyard and production rooms, we tasted one white and three reds. All were very good, and accompanied by a variety of appetizers. Sebastian was friendly and engaging, and very knowledgeable about local grapes and wine in general. We highly recommend this tour.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour and 5 course light lunch with a glass of wine with each course.. It was just our party of 4, with Sebastian providing interesting information about the vines, growing conditions and process of organic wine making. His English was very good and he was happy to answer all our questions! It is a small set up in a farmhouse, overlooking a pool and countryside so it feels very intimate. We would recommend!

About Winery and Wines

In the countryside south of Noto, in the most southern tip of Sicily, there is an aerea of calcareous soil called Buonivini (good wines). Here, for five generations, our family has listened to the earth and cultivated it. We take care of the biodiversity, we use renewable energy, we are proud to have Italian and Swiss Organic Certification. We believe that the agriculture and the wine are culture, history, hope and patience, in a word, that the wine is life.

We produce organic wines with native and non-native grape varieties, like Nero d'Avola, Moscato, Grillo, Syrah and Frappato. We use indigenous yeast for the fermentation after preparation of a pied the cuve. Our wines are authentic, organic and reflect completely the production area.
