About Winery and Wines

Villa San Pietro Winery was conceived from a modern vision. We believe in a strong connection between terroir, tradition and innovation: a philosophy perfectly reflected in the production of traditional wines like Amarone, Ripasso and Lugana Villa San Pietro Winery.

The harvest of the indigenous grapes Corvina, Corvinone e Rondinella of Villa San Pietro Winery is made exclusively by hand in order to select the best grapes for the appassimento method, a historical winemaking technique that made Valpolicella famous worldwide. To make their Amarone, the bunches are collected in the fruit-drying rooms and left there for 3-4 months. In the Winery, the winemaking process takes place in two different areas: the area of the concrete tanks, dedicated to fermentation and storage, and the barrique cellar dedicated to aging.
