The Mount Musinè is one of the closest mountains to Turin, from which it is only 12 kilometers (6 miles) away as the crow flies, and although it exceeds 1100 meters (6,500 feet) in elevation, it is often invisible to Turin residents because of the haze that often covers the plains and lower valley. This mountain is located at the mouth of the Susa Valley, between the municipalities of Caselette, Almese and Val della Torre, and is known by many for its legendary stories, linked to wizards, masche, werewolves, sovereigns and even UFO sightings, but also by hikers who can find plenty of scenic trails and spectacular views on its slopes once they reach the summit.
