Wine & Bike in Ivrea, Candia and Caluso with a local expert from Turin

Explore Ivrea, Candia and Caluso on a bike with a local expert and conclude your day with a wine tasting!

The tour begins at Porta Susa station, where we will take the train to Ivrea at 8:00 AM (train departure at 8:30 AM). Upon arriving at Ivrea station at 9:22 AM, we will start exploring this historic city, the ancient Eporedia, full of surprises. Among Roman ruins and an open-air museum dedicated to the great Adriano Olivetti, we will discover the old town, the red-towered castle, and the iconic locations of the famous carnival.

We will cycle along the Dora river, admiring elegant Art Nouveau buildings, and, if we wish, we can stop to taste the typical Torta 900. Continuing on a secondary road, we will pass through meadows and woods until we reach Lake Candia, where you can enjoy a free lunch.

While riding along the shores of the lake, we will have the opportunity to admire the rich flora and fauna of one of the most important wetlands in Piedmont, now a Natural Park. A short detour will take us to the giant bench, offering breathtaking views of the lake and the Serra.

The tour concludes in Caluso, where we will visit the Regional Wine Cellar for a wine tasting and a stroll through the town. The return train is scheduled for 7:19 PM on Sundays and 6:19 PM on Saturdays.
