A 30 to 40-minute walk through Herdade de São Miguel offers a rich experience in biodiversity observation, ideal for families, school groups, or nature enthusiasts. The walk begins near the estate’s winery, where a guide welcomes participants and introduces the natural context of the property, located in the heart of the Alentejo.
The walk concludes near the estate’s vineyards, where the guide highlights how sustainable wine production can coexist with biodiversity conservation. The walk can be adapted to different age groups or levels of interest.
To round off the experience, visitors are invited to a wine tasting session featuring a selection of Herdade de São Miguel wines, paired with local products such as cheeses, cured meats, olives, and freshly baked bread. This is followed by a traditional Alentejo lunch, prepared with seasonal ingredients and served in a relaxed, rural setting – a perfect way to connect with the region’s rich culinary and cultural heritage.
