Here is what's in store for you

The Sanlorenzo Winery is ready to welcome you to Montalcino to discover their fine Brunello di Montalcino!

This wine experience at Sanlorenzo will begin outdoors where you will learn about the history of Montalcino and how Sanlorenzo was born in this area. You will talk about the vineyards, how they are cultivated, and it will be possible to touch the vines and the soils being all at your fingertips.

Next, it will be time to visit the winemaking cellar where you'll discover how Sanlorenzo wine is made, visiting the first part of aging in wood, the bottling warehouse, and the historic cellar where the old vintages of Brunello are kept. Then you'll return to the old cellar dedicated to the barrels for aging Brunello, and after an explanation of how Brunello is aged, you will move on to tasting.

The wine tasting experience will take place among the barrels where you'll have the opportunity to taste five wines: Rosato (if available), Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino from the latest vintage, and three other Brunellos from older vintages. Some local snacks like cheese and cold cuts will accompany the tasting.

Great experience with the producers

It was really great. I’ve been there with my family and was warm welcomed by Ivan and Luciano. We’ve learned about the region, how the grapes are produced and a little bit about the process. I didn’t have any idea about how to produce wines in details and most of the doubts were answered. In the end, we had a chance to taste 5 different wines, starting with Montalcino Rosso and then with the Brunello’s family. It was really great and, of course, I had a chance to buy some bottles of Brunellos! Recommend a lot, specially because we’ve paid for the visit a lower price than in the Fontezza, but with a better experience, straight from the producers.
Maintain the same humble hospitality. This make the difference with a kind of familiar approach.
