You will meet your guide outside the passenger terminal at the parking and board your transportation to the heart of the island and the village of Sardinia, located approximately 11 miles (18 km) north of Cagliari, for a quick yet scenic drive. This is a private experience for you and your group (but the winery could have other guests simultaneously).

Located in the rolling hills, the Parteòlla area is renowned for its rich traditions in wine, cheese, and olive oil production. The land and climate have made the wines and olive oil of this region unique for thousands of years. The grapes in this area have been cultivated since Nuragic times (approximately 1500 B.C.), and some native grapes of the site are renowned, such as Cannonau, Vermentino, and Carignano. The same vineyard you will visit depends on the day of the week and the crowds. The winery staff will explain the process and the wine itself. You will also have the opportunity to buy some of the best wines in the winery store at a discount - be sure to check with your cruise line for their regulations on bringing wine back on board.

At the end of your experience, your local guide will be keen to make the tour as personal as possible. He will assist you with his expertise and recall interesting anecdotes before bringing you back to your cruise ship.
