This experience will take you on a fascinating journey of discovery of Yalumba’s Cooperage; the only on-site winery Cooperage in Australia and one of five in the world.
Your Cooperage experience begins with a short introduction of the winery and Yalumba’s family owners, the Hill-Smiths. Enjoy a rare insight into the craft of wine barrel making, a tradition that has been happening at Yalumba for over 100 years. Depending on the time of year, you will likely see firsthand the Coopers hard at work preparing or maintaining wine barrels for Yalumba’s fine wines (from Monday to Friday).
You will then return to the Wine Room with an Ambassador for a tasting of five wines from the Yalumba portfolio, featuring varieties iconic to both Yalumba and the Barossa.
