Chianti Grand Tasting with Food at Poggio ai Laghi in Monteriggioni

In the private heart of the Poggio ai Laghi estate, a sommelier from the team will welcome you for a tasting in the cellar. Set among stone walls and barrels, this experience is dedicated to the winery's signature collection, with each label inspired by the legend of Donna Ava and her seven handmaidens.

Your sommelier will guide you through the tasting, adapting the explanations to your level of knowledge. You will learn about the grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and food pairings for each of the eight wines served. The lineup includes Arella Spumante Cuvée Extra Dry, Firmina Spumante Rosé, Oletta Chianti Riserva DOCG, Lucilla Chianti Classico DOCG, Aranda Supertuscan IGT, Ava Toscana Rosso IGT, Nina Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, and Arania IGT Bianco Toscana.

The wines are accompanied by a selection of the estate's own products, including classic, white truffle, and chili pepper extra virgin olive oils. You will also sample two artisanal vinegars: a Gold Selection Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI and the distinctive Lacrime Viola, infused with red onion. These are served with Tuscan salami, finocchiona, prosciutto, pecorino cheese, and bruschetta. The tasting concludes with Cantuccini biscuits paired with a glass of Vin Santo dessert wine.
