Cantina Baldassarri

Cantina Baldassarri was born from the passion and entrepreneurial vision of Luciano Baldassarri in the heart of Umbria. The estate extends across approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, where meticulous vineyard management and careful grape selection form the foundation of its approach to quality winemaking.

In 2005, the winery took an important step forward with the construction of a modern cellar with a capacity of approximately 2,000 hectoliters, allowing the estate to vinify its own grapes directly. In the same year, a further five hectares were planted, with particular attention to international grape varieties, expanding and diversifying the winery's production.

In the vineyards, Cantina Baldassarri focuses on low yields per vine and high planting densities, alongside careful canopy management, topping, defoliation, and bunch thinning when necessary. Harvesting is carried out with precise selection according to grape variety and vineyard conditions. In the cellar, modern winemaking equipment complements this rigorous work, combining technology with a strong connection to the Umbrian territory.

The wines of Cantina Baldassarri are produced from a broad selection of native and international grape varieties, including Grechetto, Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio.

Among the estate's labels is Lucardo, a rich and complex wine distinguished by its aromatic character, alongside Verzaro Merlot, an intense and deeply colored expression of Merlot. The range also includes wines based on Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as fresh and expressive whites made from Grechetto, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio.

Native varieties remain an important part of the estate's identity, particularly Sagrantino and Grechetto, linking the winery's production to the viticultural heritage of Umbria. Through careful vineyard management, selective harvesting, and modern cellar techniques, Cantina Baldassarri aims to produce wines that combine varietal character, quality, and a distinctive expression of their origin.
