The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne in Chablis invites visitors to embark on a unique journey through the heart of Burgundy's vineyard, discovering the distinctive cultural heritage that has shaped this region for centuries. In Chablis, the historic Petit Pontigny cellar, once run by Cistercian monks, remains a testament to the enduring dedication to Burgundy's wines. Nearly ten centuries of history come alive in this intimate, historic setting, harmoniously blending tradition with a modern extension that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding garden.
The Chablis location focuses on the vineyards of northern Burgundy, showcasing Chablisien, Grand Auxerrois (Auxerrois, Tonnerrois, Vézelien, Jovinien), and Châtillonnais regions. The visit includes a wine or grape juice tasting, and a parallel route is available for children.
