Discovery: Guided Vineyard Walk & Wine Tasting at Château de Poncié
Here is what's in store for you
Starting from the historic avenue of centuries-old plane trees, you will be welcomed at Château de Poncié for a guided walking tour through one of the oldest wine estates in Beaujolais, with more than 1,000 years of history.
You will explore the estate on foot, guided through a mosaic of vineyard parcels spread across rolling hills, including Les Hauts du Py, Les Moriers, and Montgenas. Along the way, you will learn about the estate’s approach to organic and biodynamic farming, agroforestry, and viti-pastoralism which shape the identity of Château de Poncié and its wines. From the highest points of the vineyard, enjoy exceptional panoramic views over Fleurie, the Beaujolais countryside, and the surrounding villages, offering a unique perspective on this remarkable wine region.
The walk concludes in the winery, where you will discover the winemaking process and the estate’s grape varieties, from Gamay to Chardonnay. This visit is special for its intimate access to both vineyard and cellar, combining heritage, nature, and craftsmanship in a single experience. It ends with a guided tasting of 6 wines from Château de Poncié, showcasing the elegance and expression of the Fleurie and Beaujolais terroirs.
