MASCIARELLI Tenute Agricole was established in 1981 from the entrepreneurial intuition of Gianni Masciarelli, a symbol of Italian wine and protagonist of the success of modern wine production in Abruzzo. The beating heart of the winery is San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, and includes more that 60 parcels of vineyards, lying between 13 municipalities in all 4 provinces of Abruzzo. The wine production includes more than 25 labels and 7 product lines: Classic Line, Gianni Masciarelli, Villa Gemma, Marina Cvetic, Castello di Semivicoli, Iskra and Valori Chiamami Quando Piove, with an annual production of approximately 2.5 million bottles. The company produces also a limited quantity of organic extra virgin olive oil. In line with the constant work for innovation and enhancement of Abruzzo territory, culture and traditions, Masciarelli opens to the public, after a long restoration, the CASTELLO DI SEMIVICOLI. The seventeenth-century baronial mansion is now turned into a Relais de Charme in the vineyards, a reference point for wine tourism and authentic slow life in the area.

The Masciarelli products include the classic Montepulciano, Cerasuolo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo in fresh versions ready to drink, along with more sophisticated premium lines, without forgetting the contribution to the revival of the indigenous grape variety Pecorino or the brilliant results obtained with international grapes like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The success and international prestige acquired by Masciarelli, now recognized as one of Italy's wine excellence, is actually confirmed by the foreign distribution that reaches 55 countries and generates roghly 55% of the annual turnover.
