Nestled on the bank of the Douro River and famous for producing Dow’s legendary Vintage Ports, Quinta do Bomfim has been farmed by our family for five generations and has produced some of the 20th century’s most renowned ports. Guests can experience the history of the estate in the old lodge before exploring the winery, vineyard, and tasting some of our wines overlooking the river.

Symington Family Estates is one of the most prestigious producers of Port and Doc Douro wines in Portugal. It has played an integral role in building and maintaining the quality and reputation of Douro wines. Situated on the north bank of the Douro River, Quinta do Bomfim has enjoyed the stewardship of the Symington family for five generations and has produced some of the most acclaimed wines of the th century, including the Dow Vintage ports. Visitors will learn about the estate's history in the cellar before touring the vineyard and winery. Then, while enjoying the view overlooking the river, they will taste some of the family’s best wines.
