Vineyard Tour & Tasting of Albanian Wines at Tufa Winery in Tirana
Here is what's in store for you
Your tour at the Tufa family winery begins with a welcome from your guide, an oenologist, or a member of the winery team. They will introduce you to the estate and its history, rooted in generations of local viticulture.
The experience starts with a walk through the vineyard, where you'll learn about the region's terroir and the native and international grapes that thrive under the Albanian sun, including Shesh i Bardhë, Shesh i Zi, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The tour then moves into the winery itself. Here, you'll see the production facilities and discover the stages of the winemaking process, from fermentation to the bottling line, blending traditional methods with modern techniques.
Following the tour, you will be guided to a dedicated tasting room for a structured tasting. You'll sample a flight of three wines showcasing the winery's style: a crisp white, an elegant rosé, and a rich red. The tasting concludes with a sample of traditional raki. To accompany the tasting, you'll be served a light snack with locally produced cheese, like kaçkavall, and breadsticks.
