Classic Wine Tasting & Cellar Tour at Fattoria Paradiso in Bertinoro

Fattoria Paradiso has been making wine in Bertinoro, on the first hills of Romagna, since 1853. The estate's 53 hectares of vineyards surround a historic villa and the old Lovatelli Park, where peacocks roam freely.

Your experience begins with a guided tour of the cellar, led by a member of the winery staff. You will see the steel and glazed-concrete tanks before reaching the barrel room, where French oak holds wines like Barbarossa, Vigna delle Lepri, and Mito. A member of the family may sometimes join the visit.

The tasting takes place in the Salone dello Stemma, a dedicated indoor tasting room. You will be served three full glasses of 'Storici' wines, which you can choose from a wide selection. Options include the orange wine Tacco Arancio (from Bombino Bianco), the white Albanas 'Vigna Olivo' and 'I Mezzi', and the Sangiovese reds 'Petìtrufì', 'Vigna Molino', and 'Vigna delle Lepri'. The list continues with Barbarossa 'Vigna Spungone', the sweet red Cagnina, and the botrytized sweet Albana wines 'Contessina' and 'Gradisca'.

The wines are paired with local specialties: warm piadina, a selection of cured meats like prosciutto crudo, salame, and coppa, and long-aged Parmigiano Reggiano. Depending on the season, the selection may also include cured meats from Mora Romagnola pork.

Children are welcome to join and can stay with the adults during the tasting, where they will be offered a complimentary fruit juice.
