We had an amazing visit to Tomic....

We had an amazing visit to Tomic. You need to let them know ahead of time that you want a tasting - and it's well worth it. We were treated to fantastic wine, each paired with great food - world's best bar snacks. Really good value and a highlight of our holiday.

We got off the Regent Explorer today...

We got off the Regent Explorer today and took a short taxi ride to this incredible, historic winery. Beautiful location that has been the site of a river powered grain mill for over 300 years. Great family operation and make sure you ask for the family cured meats. Mojca and Boris are awesome. Enjoy!!

Great and friendly place with a big selection of wines. We had a tasting of 5 vines and had a big platter of home made prosciutto and salami.

Il posto si trova sui colli del Collio Isontino, ovviamente lato sloveno, non vicinissimo a Trieste. Tuttavia la strada vale la candela per tutto ed in tutto; Si mangiano poche cose, ma di qualità eccellente, in una atmosfera quasi famigliare ed un contesto veramente strepitoso.
