This is one of the most beautiful and exquisite wineries in California. Joe Berghold and his family are all great people. Wines are of exceptional quality and their hospitality during our visits has been extra ordinary indeed.

Berghold used to be a favorite for...
Berghold used to be a favorite for Lodi wine tasting. The wines are great, the facility beautiful and I had taken groups of 8 to 14 people (with reservations made prior) in the past and had a great time. I recommended Berghold to a friend planning a group tasting day for 12. She called to make a group reservation and encountered a rude lady who said she'd have to hire extra staff and open up the adjoining room for a group of that size and couldn't do it. In the past this was not an issue. Just lost 12 customers. I'm so disappointed in the management and there are too many other great wineries who welcome appointments to endure rudeness..

Galt's premiere wine tasting room! The 2012...
Galt's premiere wine tasting room! The 2012 Zinfandel is perfection. Staff always friendly. Comfortable seating inside and outside. Live music most Friday and Saturday evenings. Close to restaurants.

Got in right before closing and she...
Got in right before closing and she was very nice about it! Without a doubt, the Shiraz is the best one of the reds, and the sauvingnon blanc of the whites. The other reds we tried weren't as bold as the Shiraz but overall it was a decent selection.
