This is the best wine that I've...
This is the best wine that I've had in 5 years, easily. I'm apparently allergic to sulfites, which most wines are filled with. The Tarpon Springs Castle Winery makes a wonderful Pinot Noir. We did a chocolate and wine pairing. While I think that the coconut chocolate was out of place with the wines, the rest of the chocolats were nice with the wines. I do think that the chocolates, which are Russel Stover, are not as nice as if they were Godiva, but they still worked well for pairing with Pinot Noir, Merlod, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. I went home with 6 bottles of wine and I plan on doing another tasting. The owners of this establishment were wonderful to talk to about wines. Their process may take longer than your average California winery, but it's well worth the wait.

I recently attended the Tangled Oaks Vineyard...
I recently attended the Tangled Oaks Vineyard Festival. There were so many talented crafts people there. I enjoyed visiting the craft booths and talking to the exhibitors. My husband, myself, and many of our friends usually attend at least one day as a group.. This year hubby and I attended 2 days. I must admit that I really enjoyed the Carlos wine this year. The music was enjoyable and I had some delicious foods from crafters. I believe there is another festival coming up later this year about October.
I was delighted the other day to receive a phone call that I was one of the winners of the give away baskets from the winery. I am hoping to be able to retrieve it soon. I know they are closed on Mondays, and open Tuesday through Saturday. I think the hours are 2 until 6. I know I must get with the program and make it out there to retrieve my winnings.
Thanks ever so much to the staff at the winery for making it 2 such wonderful fun filled afternoons for all those who attended
Sincerely
Faith Hartley

Wines are BETTER than San Sebastian Winery...
Wines are BETTER than San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine. Our favorites are Carlos and Spring Blush, but I tried a nice Sangria today.

Best wine I have had in years....
Best wine I have had in years. It may just be a coincidence that my tastes are similar to that of the owner or maybe my tastes have changed in recent years. It beats out California by a long shot and even leaves Palisade CO envious.

When my wife told me we were...
When my wife told me we were going to come here, I was like oh boy... turns out I was totally wrong. I love this place. Wines are very good. Owners are very nice and who doesn't want to be around people who enjoy a good drink or two... sometimes bottles.
Wine: Various kinds, I'm sure one of them will be to your liking. Plus, the owners are more than willing to let you taste the wine before you buy. I would go for the Springhill Red and the Pinot Noir, but it all depends on what you are eating or what you have eaten to fit your taste buds.
Store: Store is small, but that's all you need for a place like this. There are plenty of wine related goods in there and the owners will help you out too if you ask them.
Events: Every other friday, they have the outdoors open and you can bring a picnic or order from a local food truck for a meal. They have plenty of tables and fire pits, so you can enjoy the evening stars and music. It's fun meeting the locals or just being there with friends. Highly recommend coming here.

Surprisingly good wines for central Florida Gulf...
Surprisingly good wines for central Florida Gulf Coast Winery. A variety of whites, light reds, sweet varietals, and tasty ports. Wine tasting and sandwiches or bring your own bread and cheese picnic with wine by bottle or glass every other Friday in the winery's backyard. I like the Pinot Noir, Winter port, and Spring Hill Red. A fun, cool experience for friends even in the summer.
